Papillion, NE - BAT Logistics a third party logistics provider recently approved by Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) as a $100,000 Performance Certified member.
This protection provides guarantee of freight payment to carriers, shippers and other third party logistics providers in excess of the $10,000 bond required by the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration.
As of 2010, less than 10% of all 3pl providers have been approved for this program.
To qualify for this program the company must agree to abide by a strict TIA code of ethics, maintain an A credit rating, utilize written agreements with all parties to insure solid business practices, maintain written qualifications between carrier partners and demonstrate the ability to secure a $100,000 surety bond.
