Press Release: BAT Logistics Brings Art Contest Back to Sims Elementary School

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ATLANTA, Ga.-- BAT Logistics, one of the fastest growing 3PL providers of transportation services, is excited to announce it will once again sponsor the Transportation Art Contest at Sims Elementary School in Conyers, Ga.

"BAT wants to give back to the children and be a partner with the public school systems and this is a great way for us to do that," said BAT's Sales and Marketing Director Cindy Moreno, who is organizing the contest for the company. "Last year, the kids were very excited and that makes it all worthwhile. We look forward to the contest this year and the years to come."

In art class starting in mid-November, students will be asked to draw and color a mode of transportation. The entries will be judged in three grade groupings: Pre-K/Kindergarten/First, Second/Third and Fourth/Fifth.

Students selected to have the best entries will win modes of transportation- a bike for first place, scooter or skateboard for second and a rolling skating gift card for third- awarded just in time for their winter break from school.

The contest does not cost the school, students or community anything. BAT is even providing the art classes with paper and markers for the contest. Last year was the first year of the contest.

Spelunking: Coffee Talk

You wouldn't want to see Stephen Sinclair without his coffee. That jolt of java keeps him alert and smiling throughout his day at BAT Logistics and, well, anywhere.
So, it's no surprise that his travel mug is this National Accounts team member's most treasured item at work.

"I would be lost without it," Stephen said.

Spelunking: Baby on Board

Is this the new BAT mascot?

No, it's just Executive VP/Owner Jarrod Marinello's son, Dylan, dressed as a bat for Halloween last year.

Marinello treasures his now 18-month-old son, but he will have another treasure this spring. We are happy to announce his wife is pregnant, and this time, it's a girl! Baby Marinello is due to arrive mid-April.

Spelunking: Orange and Proud

There are awards, and then there are trophies. Steve Barnes, the team leader of our Central Dispatch team, is proud of the sales trophy he has won in each of the past three quarters. To win, a team member has to sign up the most customers in a quarter.

Also in the photo is Steve's best friend and team member, Krysten Parrish, holding his cherished Syracuse Otto the Orange toy.

"My family is from Syracuse, New York, and I am a die hard Syracuse basketball fan. Like crazy die hard," he said.
